KUCHING, June 22: The presence of the lop leaders from Malaysia and Sarawak at the State-level Gawai Dayak 2026 celebration dinner reflects not just the recognition of the rich culture, customs, and heritage of the Dayak people, but also reinforces the spirit of unity that has long been the foundation of Sarawak’s strength.
In a Facebook post, Works Minister and Kapit MP Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi said that the most meaningful part of the event was being able to meet the people up close and exchange greetings, sharing the festive spirit.
“As a Sarawakian, I am immensely proud to see how Gawai continues to serve as a bridge that brings us together in the spirit of ‘Segulai Sejalai’.
