BINTULU (Aug 2): The Bintulu Divisional Health Office (PKB) has recently enhanced its hotline system to provide better Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services.

It stated that this change aims to improve accessibility and ensure those in distress can easily connect with professional support.
“The MHPSS hotline operates from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, excluding public holidays.
“This schedule allows the dedicated team of counsellors and support staff to be available during critical hours, providing much-needed assistance to the community,” it said.
The Bintulu Divisional Health Office has been a cornerstone in offering psychosocial support and addressing the growing mental health needs of the local population.
With the introduction of the new numbers, the office hopes to reach a wider audience and provide timely support to those in need.
Mental health and psychosocial support are crucial, especially in times of crisis; hence the MHPSS services offer a lifeline to individuals experiencing emotional distress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges.
The dedicated team of professionals is trained to provide compassionate and effective support, helping individuals navigate their difficulties and improve their well-being.
The community is encouraged to utilise these services and spread the word about the new hotline numbers so everyone in need has access to the necessary support and care.
