Partial car park closure at Milan Square for ART station works until July 2026

KUCHING, Jan 19: A section of the car park in front of Milan Square along Jalan Wan Alwi here will be partially closed for six months, from today (Jan 19) until July 18, 2026, to facilitate construction works for the Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) system.

According to a notification issued by Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd (Sarawak Metro), the temporary partial closure will run 24 hours daily as part of construction works for ART Station SM09.

The affected area is located in front of Milan Square at Jalan Wan Alwi, Kuching, and the closure period spans from Jan 19 to July 18, 2026.

Road users travelling through the area are advised to exercise caution and comply with all traffic management measures, including road warning signs and speed limits, to ensure the safety of both motorists and construction workers.

Sarawak Metro said it will notify the public should there be any changes to the notification and urged road users to plan their journeys accordingly.
