Partial road closure at Rembus, Plaie roundabouts along Kuching-Samarahan Expressway from June 8-July 8

KUCHING, June 11: A month-long partial road closure is affecting traffic along the Kuching–Samarahan Expressway, with works ongoing at the Rembus Roundabout and Plaie Roundabout from June 8 to July 8, 2026.

According to Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd, the road maintenance works along the expressway will involve milling and pavement rehabilitation.

The project will be carried out in phases and will affect both daytime and nighttime traffic, with works running from 9am to 4pm and continuing from 8pm to 4am.

Motorists are advised to expect lane reductions and slow-moving traffic in the affected areas, and road users are urged to drive with caution at all times.

All traffic management measures and road warning signs must be strictly followed.

Sarawak Metro will continue to inform the public of any updates or changes to the traffic arrangements.

Road users are also advised to plan their journeys earlier than usual, as delays are expected throughout the construction period.
