Road diversion at Jln Lapangan Terbang from Jan 19 to June 15 for construction works

KUCHING, Jan 19: Motorists using Jalan Lapangan Terbang here will be subject to a temporary road diversion for nearly five months, from Jan 19 to June 15, 2026, to facilitate construction works.

According to a notification issued by Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd (Sarawak Metro), the road diversion will be in effect 24 hours daily throughout the duration of the works.

The diversion, which will run for five months, is being implemented to allow construction activities to be carried out along Jalan Lapangan Terbang, Kuching.

Road users are advised to exercise caution when travelling through the affected area and to adhere strictly to all traffic management control measures, including road warning signs and speed limits, to ensure the safety of both motorists and construction workers.

Sarawak Metro said it will duly notify the public should there be any changes to the notification and urged road users to plan their journeys accordingly.
