Business emerged as the top-performing subject with 100 per cent A/A*, setting a benchmark of excellence. Biology followed with a 100 per cent A and B achievement rate, while Chemistry and Economics recorded strong performances with over 71 per cent and 67 per cent A and B grades respectively. Mathematics and Physics also posted solid outcomes, with more than half of the cohort attaining A and B grades. The school said the results reflected students’ dedication, perseverance and consistent academic progress throughout their pre-university journey.

Among the top achievers, Elizabeth Mikaela Lim Eian attained a perfect score of four straight A grades. Xavier Chang and Jameela Khayrin also excelled, each securing three A’s, while nine other students achieved multiple distinctions with at least two A’s. Overall, 43 per cent of the cohort obtained A and B grades.

SJIS principal Br Robert Teoh FMS congratulated the cohort, saying the students had met their targets and were well-positioned to continue their studies in higher education institutions. He added that the school’s holistic approach ensured students were formed not only academically but also as meaningful contributors to society, expressing hope they would return to help transform Sarawak after their studies.

Meanwhile, SJIS chief executive officer Christopher Chua said the results reflected the school’s strong commitment to academic excellence, citing the perfect Business A-Level outcomes as evidence of both student commitment and high teaching standards. He attributed the achievements to the guidance and support of the SJIS pre-university faculty and wished students success as they progress to the next stage of their A-Level studies and future university pursuits.

With a solid academic foundation, committed educators and a nurturing learning environment, SJIS said it continues to prepare its students to thrive in higher education and beyond. The school is currently accepting final applications for the A-Levels 2026 intake.
