Team RIMBA winner of this year’s M-Ficord level ICC convention

KUCHING (July 26): Team RIMBA from the Department of Agriculture (DOA) emerged as the champion at this year’s Ministry of Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development (M-Ficord) level Innovative and Creative Circle (ICC) Convention.

The team received the Minister’s Trophy, cash prize of RM1,500 and won the Best Presenter award.

The first runner-up was Team DVETS from the Department of Veterinary Services Sarawak (DVSS), securing the Deputy Minister’s Trophy and a cash prize of RM1,300. They also received the Best Montage award.

Team Whizz from the Sarawak Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (Salcra) came in third, earning the Permanent Secretary’s Trophy and RM1,000.

The awards were presented by M-Ficord Minister Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom at a dinner at the Imperial Hotel on Thursday.

A total of eight teams participated in this year’s convention.

All winners will advance to the Sarawak Civil Service Innovation Convention Award (SCSICA), where they will compete for the prestigious Premier of Sarawak Trophy and the Star Rating Award for civil services.

Also present at the dinner were M-Ficord Deputy Minister Datuk Martin Ben, Sarawak Deputy State Secretary Datu Hii Chang Kee and the ministry’s permanent secretary Sirai Daha.
