Asfia makes courtesy call on Senate President

KUCHING: Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar paid a courtesy call on Senate President Datuk Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah yesterday (July 31).

The visit took place at the Malaysian Parliament building in Putrajaya.

Bemee was appointed as the 21st President of the Dewan Negara on July 22, for a three-year term.

Accompanying Asfia were Federal Deputy Minister of Health Datuk Lukanisman Awang Sauni, and Senators Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim, Michael Mujah Lihan, Susan Chamerai Anding and Pele Peter Tinggom.
