KUCHING (July 3): It is vital for businesses to learn the vast applications of artificial intelligence (AI), said Dayak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) president Dato Allan Keripin Nangkai.
In preparation for future adaptability, he asserted that continuous learning and applications of AI is essential for survival, especially for the business landscape.
“AI can enhance customer services, streamline options, and analyse large databases to assist business owners to make informed decisions.
“It will significantly benefit those working in various sectors that offer career growth opportunities. As industries adopt the usage of AI, there will be high demand for skilled professionals trained in AI.
“Therefore, it is imperative for your future career to harness the power of AI,” he said in his opening speech as the Gawai Kaamatan Business Forum 2024 held at DCCI Tower at Jalan Ong Tiang Swee here yesterday.
Meanwhile, the forum featured two sessions – Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and AI-driven Blue Economy Invest Opportunities in Borneo.
Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said the forum served as a platform for businesses in Sarawak and Sabah to cooperate, sharing the benefits of economic opportunities in Malaysia.
“We now stand at the brink of the digital era where leveraging cutting-edge technology is no longer a choice but rather a necessity for organisations, businesses, and the public sector to remain competitive and relevant,” said Uggah.
Also present was Kadazandusun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) president Datuk Ladislaus Maluda.
