Early morning crash along Jln Kuala Baram leaves 21yo man dead

MIRI, July 13: A 21-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Jalan Kuala Baram here early this morning.

In a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 2.15am, and firefighters from the Lutong station were deployed.

It was noted that the accident involved a Perodua Bezza and a trailer lorry, with the driver of the Bezza found trapped in the driver’s seat.

The team carried out rescue operations using specialised Road Traffic Accident (RTA) rescue equipment to extricate the victim, who was later pronounced dead at the scene by a Ministry of Health (MOH) medical officer.

The victim, identified as Edmud Lingie Entalang, was later handed over to the police for further action. — DayakDaily
