MIRI (Aug 1): The Second Borneo Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Summit, organised by the Miri International Youth Chamber of Commerce, will take place at Curtin University Malaysia here from August 23 to 25.

According to the event organising chairman Owen Chu, the summit will also be spearheaded by Curtin University Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia) as the event’s co-organiser.

“Curtin Malaysia has expressed its full support for the summit by conducting workshops that will focus on humanities, culture, and business,” he said.

The summit this year, he added, would focus on promoting SDG Goal 4, on inclusive and equitable quality education for all.

“It will bring together non-profit organisations, educational institutions, government departments, community groups and the public, to foster collaboration, share knowledge, and inspire collective efforts toward achieving educational equity and quality.

“Key features of the summit will include interactive workshops, panel discussions, education fair, keynote speeches and art exhibitions,” he said, while calling upon the non-governmental organisations, policymakers, and related parties to participate in the event.
