KUCHING, July 15: Fresh off a triumphant performance at the EFC event in Singapore, Sarawak’s rising Muay Thai star Emylia Lynn Ghazali, better known as Mia, has set her sights on an even greater achievement, which is winning gold at the 2026 Malaysia Games (Sukma).
The 15-year-old fighter from Rentap Muay Thai Gym emerged victorious in the Women’s 42kg bout at the EFC event, held as part of the Muay Thai Festival 5 programme at SCAPE Playspace in Singapore on Saturday (July 11).
In a statement today, Mia said her success in Singapore has given her a significant confidence boost as she prepares for Sukma 2026, where she hopes to bring glory to Sarawak.
Following her victory, Mia has wasted no time returning to training. She is currently undergoing intensive preparations under the guidance of her coaches at Rentap Muay Thai Gym as she gears up to represent Sarawak at Sukma 2026 this August.
Despite her young age, Mia has continued to make her mark on the Muay Thai circuit, with her latest triumph adding to an impressive and growing list of achievements.
Her victory in Singapore is expected to provide valuable momentum heading into the final phase of her Sukma preparations, as she sharpens her skills and strengthens her resolve for the competition ahead.
